Transparency about the financial relationships with healthcare professionals and healthcare organizations is important and we believe that disclosing payments related to interactions with physicians and related entities helps foster trust and supports our commitment to ethical business conduct.
Payments to US Healthcare Professionals and Organizations
As an applicable manufacturer, Indivior collects and submits data on transfers of values such as research, meals, travel, gifts, or speaking fees to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) Open Payments program (often referred to as the “Sunshine Act”) each year. Open Payments is a national transparency program about the financial relationships between the health care industry (i.e. drug and device companies) and providers (i.e. physicians and teaching hospitals).
Through the CMS Open Payments website, you can view information about Indivior’s financial relationships with US physicians and teaching hospitals, as well as the relationships that physicians and teaching hospitals maintain with other companies. To view Indivior’s past disclosures of transfers of value to US physicians and teaching hospitals including speaking, advising, consulting, etc.:
- Go to the CMS Open Payments website at https://openpaymentsdata.cms.gov
- Click the tab “Company Making Payments”
- Enter the company name “Indivior” and click “Search”
- Select “Indivior” by clicking on the company name in the search results
The CMS search tool will then display a summary of Indivior’s reporting of transfers of value. You can also search and view more detailed transfer of value information for individual physicians and teaching hospitals.
Indivior believes that disclosing its transfers of value related to interactions with physicians and related entities helps foster trust and supports our commitment to maintaining the highest ethical standards in the work we do. Certain states have also enacted laws and regulations relating to transparency of interactions with healthcare professionals that often cover additional categories of healthcare professionals and are separate and in addition to the federal transparency reporting requirements.
Indivior is committed to complying with federal and applicable state laws and regulations, as well as the Corporate Integrity Agreement (CIA) which Indivior entered into with the Office of the Inspector General for the Department of Health and Human Services in July 2020.
